We are on a mission to revolutionize how businesses assess, manage, and navigate risk. GRCmate AI is redefining the landscape by leveraging GenAI to automate compliance, enhance risk management, and simplify regulatory processes—empowering organizations to stay ahead effortlessly.
Who We Are
Founded in 2024 (London, UK), GRCmate AI was built to challenge traditional GRC methodologies with cutting-edge AI technology. Our chat-based Generative AI enhances efficiency and accuracy in governance, risk, and compliance, providing businesses with a faster, smarter, and more reliable approach.
Our Journey
Early 2025 – Delivered the MVP ahead of schedule and launched a beta version. We now invite businesses to trial our ground-breaking technology.
October 2024 – Launched a Proof of Concept (PoC) project, aiming to deliver an MVP by March 2025.
July 2024 – Won a government grant competition with a high score, securing a major corporate partner to drive AI innovation for UK businesses.
Early 2024 – After speaking with several customers, our founders confirmed a strong demand for AI-driven GRC solutions. Market research validated the need for a smarter, more efficient approach, laying the foundation for GRCmate AI.
Late 2023 – Before forming GRCmate AI Ltd, our founders independently joined a government-backed innovation lab focused on GRC, ESG, and AI. Through this experience, they identified a fundamental problem: existing GRC systems were outdated, inefficient, and difficult to use. Businesses struggled with complex workflows, manual processes, and fragmented compliance management. Recognising the potential of Generative AI to revolutionise this space, they saw an opportunity to build an intuitive, AI-powered solution that could simplify compliance, automate risk management, and transform the way organisations approach GRC. This vision led to the creation of GRCmate AI.

Meet Nicolas Winston, the visionary founder behind GRCmate.ai. With a deep-rooted passion for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) and a wealth of experience in the field, Nick and his team are in charge of revolutionising GRC systems through the integration of artificial intelligence.

A seasoned technology expert with a PhD in Computer Science and 25+ years of experience in startups and product development. As GRCmate’s technical mastermind, he shapes the product vision and ensures scalable, innovative solutions.

Product Development
A technology leader with 15 years of experience in banking applications, stakeholder management, and strategic project delivery. At GRCmate, he drives the development of cutting-edge GRC solutions, leveraging his expertise in innovation and optimised customer experiences.

A Mathematics graduate from the University of Bristol with expertise in AI, machine learning, and chatbot development. As an AI Engineer at GRCmate, he leads chatbot innovation, ensuring seamless and intelligent user interactions.
